A former reporter, photographer and editor, Joel provides a broad range of clients with expert strategic direction, project management and communications skills. He has been a key member of the Gogerty Marriott team since joining the firm in 1987.
Joel develops communications strategies, plans and messages for clients involved in complex and controversial public issues with multiple objectives and modes of communications. He directs strategy and provides integrated management of projects involving multiple governmental review and approval processes: litigation, crisis communications, government, media and community relations, and grassroots organizing and communications.
An award-winning reporter, photographer and editor, Joel is a proficient writer and editor. He holds a journalism degree from the University of Washington and a liberal arts degree from The Evergreen State College.
